Baltimore Brew looks for New York–style pizza by the slice in Baltimore and is… disappointed.

Also disappointing:  the Maryland General Assembly voted to not extend or expand the tax credit for historic rehabs.

Not disappointing:  JetBlue will start offering flights from BWI starting in September. We love having our own little TV when we fly; also, they have the best snacks of any airline, BY FAR.

On the Town gives a quick rundown of places to go bowling in Baltimore City. They, like us, prefer the duckpins. So much daintier! So many strikes!

Now that Legg Mason has made the cut, Baltimore is now home to two Fortune 500 companies (the other is Constellation Energy).

Local zine Smile Hon, You’re in Baltimore wants your take on a crucial local issue:  “You have a friend coming into Baltimore for the weekend. Which bar do you definitely want to take them to and why?” Similarly, Inside Charm City is running a poll to discover “Baltimore’s Best Bar.” Will it end up being that old “Best Bar in America” place, or will an underdog come from behind?

After a several-month hiatus, the Downtown Partnership’s blog, ‘Round Downtown Baltimore, is back. In the coming weeks, they promise us news about the Pratt Street Initiative and the winner of the naming contest for the new downtown circular bus.

The Sun reports on some Canton residents’ (Cantonians?) opposition to the Red Line, the proposed east/west expansion of the light rail. (See our earlier take on the issue here.) Mobtown Shank opposes their opposition, and thinks a “racial element” may be involved in the protest.

Urban Revival discusses Transit-Oriented Development and how it might work (or not work) in Baltimore’s inner city.
