Baltimore Site Gets Nod from Vegas

The Nationals –– the industry nickname for certain prestigious national sales and marketing awards –– acknowledged Silo Point in several categories, honoring it with gold awards (picture an Emmy with a cute little house logo in lieu of that atom/globe thing) for Best Sales Center and Best Brochure, as well as the coveted Attached Community of the Year award. Silo Point was also recognized with silver awards in five additional categories.

As you probably already know, Silo Point is a luxury condominium complex on the Patapsco River, framed in the converted hull of what was once the world’s largest and fastest grain elevator, back in the heyday of the B & O Railroad. The reinvention process was recently completed, and units in the building are already being sold. For those who can afford to live there, Silo Point features opulent parks, restaurants, retail providers, a swimming pool, and an exclusive 19th-floor lounge with arguably the best views of the Harbor money can buy.

Whether or not Silo Point seems like your dream residence, it’s encouraging to see Baltimore getting widespread attention for positive local innovation and accomplishment. What’s your take on the newly transformed historic site?
