UPDATE: Let’s Drink to Another Win
Ready for another thrilling weekend? The Baltimore Ravens meet the Tennessee Titans on Saturday at 4:30 in the Divisional Round. See the post below, from last weekend, for a few of South Baltimore’s best spots to watch the Ravens take on the Titans.
Even before Saturday’s playoff, the Ravens have already scored points against the Titans. In a Sports Illustrated reader survey released this week, M&T Bank Stadium came in fourth overall, behind Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, and Denver’s Invesco Field. The Titans’ LP Field was left behind in ninth place. Let’s hope the scoring streak continues!
Superstitious about the outcome? Della Rose’s in Canton (1501 S. Clinton Street) is the place for you. Bartenders start the show off with a collective pre-game pep talk, and there’s a whole roster of lucky songs to blast when the Ravens score. If (God forbid!) the team is in dire need of a turnover, bar patrons help out by simultaneously slugging down a $5 Raven bomb

While all this blustery weather might have you dreaming of following the Ravens to Miami for their playoff game this Sunday at 1 p.m., don’t worry—there’s plenty of action going on right here at home. Here are a few of South Baltimore’s best spots to watch the Ravens take on the Dolphins:
Mad River Bar and Grille (1110 S. Charles Street) is a popular place during the regular season for its large-screen TVs and cozy leather booths. This Sunday, doors will open at 10 a.m., so make sure to arrive early for the best seats.
Federal Hill institution Mother’s (1113 S. Charles Street) will continue its Purple Patio celebration with drink specials and half-priced wings. The bar’s central location makes it a perfect pick if you plan on post-game bar-hopping.
If Locust Point is more your style, City Limits Sports Bar (1700 East Fort Avenue) promises drink specials and a laid-back viewing party—as laid back as the playoffs can be! Want to remember this day forever? The bar’s purple camouflage Coors cans make a cheap and sassy Ravens souvenir.
Want to combine game time with some people-watching and seafood snacking? Squeeze in among the crowd at Nick’s Oyster Bar in Cross Street Market (1065 S. Charles Street), where you can slurp down raw oysters while cheering on the team.
Don’t forget that the Ravens organization has “painted the town purple” this week. Check out their handy stencil work in Federal Hill Park on your way to your viewing party.
What time is it? Game time!
